Burying the 20th Century
Richard's second book, Burying the 20th Century - New Paths to New Futures, was written in 1996 and published the following year. Here Richard expanded on a number of issues that had become important to him, such as integral systems design, ecological thinking, social foresight and biomimicry. Written in conjunction with Geraldene Callanan, this book proposed entirely new (and often novel) solutions to many of the contemporary dilemmas (such as social inequity and environmental degradation, for example) caused by the way human beings have chosen to live their lives.
